Before Running The Ultimate Guide to Adventure Travel v1.1
1) Your Macintosh must have QuickTime 2.0 installed to use the video features of this product, and SoundManager 3.0 to make the best use of the audio features of this product.
2) QuickTime 2.0 and SoundManager 3.0 should be installed on all Macintosh systems.
3) All previous versions should be removed before installing these current versions.
4) These have been provided for you on this CD-ROM and can be found in the UTILITIES Folder.
iTravel Online (getting connected)
In order to take advantage of iTravel's direct links to the World Wide Web you must have an online provider. Both America Online and Earthlink are provided on our CD-ROM:
Earthlink:
If you choose to install a new copy of the Earthlink software you should install it directly from the CD-ROM:
1) Locate the Earthlink folder on the The Ultimate Guide to Adventure Travel CD-ROM.
2) Read the README text file in the Earthlink folder before installing. (Very Important!)
3) Run the "Earthlink Installer" in the Earthlink folder.
4) Installation is a two-part process. After the installer has created a TotalAccess folder on your hard disk, it will reboot your computer and ask you to run the "Registration & Utilities" program (after the computer restarts, of course). Netscape 1.1 and the Internet Dialer are not installed on your computer until after you have completed registration. The next time you use The Ultimate Guide to Adventure Travel, we will link the Online screen to your copy of Internet Dialer so that you can go online directly.
If you have previously installed Earthlink you can logon directly from the Online section of our product. Simply choose "Earthlink" and then choose "Use Existing Copy". Follow the directions. The next time you launch our product you will link directly to our website.
Note: Don't forget to disconnect from Netscape and the Internet Dialer when you return to our product.
America Online:
America Online can be installed directly from inside our product. Go to the Online area and choose America Online as your service provider. You can install a new copy or use your existing copy to launch AOL and go to our website.
Note: Don't forget to sign off America Online before you return to our product.
